2012 has been lined up with amazing blockbusters, one after the other. The most anticipated titles to grace the screens this year are:

1) Battleship: sure, it's one of those invasion movies again, but this one has Peter Berg in the Director's chair. Plus, the refreshing change is that the invasion takes place at sea. Even the cast's pretty explosive with Liam Neeson, Taylor Kitsch, Alexander Skarsgard and wait for it... Rihanna. So, let's hope our hopes are not dashed and this turns out to be a good one!

2) The Dark Knight Rises: well, Christopher Nolan has proved that making a comic book movie and then making a sequel on it, and on top of that, making it even more palatable, is possible. Here's the third edition of the Nolan series. He's roped in Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, along with getting his regular cast of Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman and Michael Caine, back. God knows I'll be standing in the line for a long time to get a ticket to this baby!

3) The Hobbit: yes, The Hobbit is finally happening. Peter Jackson finally got the right mix of no-loggerheads and no-low budget to make this film hit theatres almost after nine years, since the release of Lord of The Rings: Return of The King. Peter Jackson got many of the original people of LOTR fame to make this movie. This is sure to be a big one! Plus, another Hobbit film will release next year. Long live Peter Jackson!

And this is just the icing on the cake. There are so many more great titles on the way, we are sure to have our weeknights booked!
